Florida KidCare is the state's children's health insurance program for uninsured children under age 19. It includes four different parts, or programs: MediKids, Healthy Kids, Children's Medical Services and Medicaid. When you apply for the insurance, Florida KidCare will check which program your child may be eligible for based on age and family income.
Healthy Start Coalition of Brevard County, Inc.
The Healthy Start Coalition provides services to pregnant women and infants to ensure that any risk factors that may contribute to normal growth and development are identified early and addressed.

WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care and community services.

The Early Learning Coalition of Brevard administers multiple early learning programs including School Readiness (subsidized) child care; Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R), Florida First Start and Inclusion. In addition, the Coalition contracts with many child care providers, schools and pre-schools to provide quality services. The Coalition works to ensure all centers have quality learning environments and provides training and professional development for teachers.
