Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Parent Applications
VPK Registration for the school year program begins on May 1st of each year.
Walk in registration will be available on the following days from 9am – 4:30pm: May 1, 2, 16 & 30; June 13 & 27; July 11 & 25; and August 8 & 15, 2008.
To register your child for the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program please complete the
following application and bring it, along with a copy of your child's birth certificate
and proof of residency (such as your driver's license or a utility bill *must show physical residence - not PO Box) to the Early
Learning Coalition of Brevard County at one of the following locations:

After completing the application, providing the required documentation and meeting with a VPK representative,
you will be issued a Certificate of Eligibility which can be used to enroll
with an approved VPK Provider of your choice.

School Readiness (subsidized child care) Application

To obtain information and pre-register your child for school readiness click here or
contact the Early Learning Coalition of Brevard County at (321) 637-1800 ext. 2001.
Once you have completed the application process, you will be placed on a waiting list
for one of our specialists to contact you.
Typically, to be eligible for services, each parent/guardian in the
household must be working or attending school for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Household income (including child support) must be less than the following guidelines

At the time of your appointment, you will need to bring, at a minimum the following items:
- Current Florida Driver's License or Florida picture ID card for parent / guardian arranging care
- Documentation of age for all children receiving services (preferably birth certificate)
- Income Documentation (6 weekly, 3 bi-weekly or 2 monthly pay stubs), including any child support, SSI/SSA information, if applicable and typical work schedule signed by employer
- Education / training schedule, if applicable

Each child for whom services are being applied for must attend the initial appointment.
Hearing, vision and developmental screenings will be completed at this time.
